We just wanted to wish you all a safe & Happy 4th! Hope the heat subsides long enough for you to enjoy the fireworks!
We are in Sault Ste. Marie, MI and will stay here for a few days. The weather is warm compared to what we have been used to – 86 degrees today but we are getting a breeze which helps. Where we are staying, the park is full and it seems like a really nice place. Huge ships are passing through St. Mary’s River, you can hear them sounding their horns as they are preparing to pass through the canals. Ships from more than 60 countries visit these ports annually. There are ocean bulk freighters, cargo vessels and self-unloaders which can be 1000 ft long. We can see them partially from our site but need to walk only a few yards to see them up close and personal. It’s hard to believe that what we see on the other side of the river is Canada!
Fireworks are tonight! We might be able to see them from our site, but what we are most looking forward to is the Northern Lights that are supposed to put on quite a show!!!
Pictures will be coming soon!
Have a great 4th!!
